A good grow starts at the roots. Choose potting soil, coco coir, starter blocks and hydroponic media at Greendiscounter, along with pots and accessories for your setup. We help you compare initial nutrients, pot size, plant stage and your watering method.

Growing in soil? Compare the initial fertilisation of Grow soil for indoor growing. Plagron Lightmix and Atami Janeco lightmix are lightly fertilised; Atami Kilomix has a richer nutrient base.
For Coco coir, choose a suitable feeding programme. Plagron Cocos Premium is washed and buffered and needs nutrients from the start. Atami Cocos substraat is lightly fertilised. These products therefore have different starting conditions.
Choose Plant pots by capacity and outer dimensions. For young plants, explore Propagation supplies; for a hydroponic setup, compare the available Hydroponics. Our soil or coco guide helps you weigh the differences.

Litres and outer dimensions answer different questions. Choose a pot for your plant and setup, then make a useful estimate of the soil or coco you need.

A bag of potting soil is not a complete feeding programme. A light mix gives a different start from richer soil. With coco, check washing, buffering and added nutrients too. Use the exact product and version as your starting point; the brand or bag colour alone is not enough.
Litres describe nominal capacity. Outer dimensions determine whether a pot fits your table, tray or tent. Allow space for saucers and moving plants. A larger pot changes the water balance and is not automatically better for a small root ball.
A starter medium supports the early stage; the next step needs sufficient root development and a suitable fit. Assess the plug and planting hole together. Rockwool, potting soil and coco have different use instructions. Check before transferring a watering routine from another setup.
Worm Delight, Supermix and Bat Guano have supplementary roles. They do not replace a complete bag of potting soil and are not automatically suitable for every medium. Check use and dosage before adding them, particularly when the mix already contains nutrients.
