Measure the connections on your extractor and carbon filter first. The duct must fit the flange and pass through the tent port. Insulated ducting needs extra room for its outer jacket; the connection size refers to the inner duct.
Our Combi Connect and Sono Connect range comes in 10-metre lengths, with model sizes from 127 to 406 mm. Air distribution ducts have different diameter and length combinations. Check the exact version: a larger duct cannot fix an undersized connection.
You do not have to install the full 10-metre roll. Measure the required route with generous bends and room for fixing. Extend the section you use and avoid kinks or sagging loops.
Flexible ducting with aluminium laminate and a black PVC outer layer. Use it as a connecting air path between suitably sized components when you need a practical flexible duct.
Insulated ducting for an air path where sound attenuation matters. Allow room for the thicker outer jacket and finish the inner duct and jacket connections carefully. Duct insulation does not replace a suitably chosen fan.
These transparent ducts have outlet holes to distribute supply air along their length. Their function differs from closed exhaust ducting. Current versions range from 160 mm × 3 m to 355 mm × 15 m; each diameter has its own available lengths.
Keep the fan, filter and duct connection sizes consistent where possible. If sizes differ, select a reducer that fits both ends. Avoid unnecessary restrictions and tight bends immediately after the fan.
Secure the duct with a suitable clamp and seal the joint with appropriate airtight tape. Support longer runs. Insulated ducting needs both the inner duct and outer jacket finished correctly; clamping the insulation alone does not seal the air path.
After fitting, check for leaks, loose connections and contact with vibrating components. Assess the system with the filter and complete duct run connected. A fan’s free-air rating does not guarantee the airflow in your installation.
