CO2 generator or CO2 Bag: start with the supply method

Want to add CO2 without a gas burner? The CO2 Bag releases carbon dioxide from a compact bag and needs no gas connection. Its release method differs from a controlled gas generator. Use a CO2 meter to check what happens in your own space.

A gas generator produces CO2 through combustion and also adds heat. The range includes Autopilot units listed at 4 and 8 kW, Biogreen units at 4 kW and a Hotbox at 11 kW. Start with the available fuel supply. Choose the Autopilot 4 kW natural gas version or Autopilot 4 kW propane version only after confirming the correct version for the installation.

Floor space alone does not establish suitability for a grow tent. Check heat removal, installation clearances, ventilation and monitoring too. Have a qualified professional assess the gas installation and whether the space is suitable.

Natural gas and propane are separate versions

The Autopilot 4 and 8 kW units and Biogreen 4 kW are listed as separate natural gas and propane products. Choose the correct fuel version before buying. Do not assume burners, hoses or regulators are interchangeable. Confirm the supplied fuel version separately for the Hotbox.

Heat output is not a CO2 dose

The 4, 8 and 11 kW figures describe heat output. They do not tell you the CO2 concentration your room will reach. Room volume, air exchange and controls also matter. A higher rating is therefore not automatically a better choice for a grow tent.
