Buying Aptus nutrients: base feed or supplement?
Start with the role you need in your feeding programme. Aptus All-in-One Liquid is a mineral base nutrient. Regulator, Startbooster, Topbooster and individual boosters are targeted additions. A booster does not automatically supply every nutrient your plants need.
A complete Aptus feeding programme combines a suitable base with targeted additions. Choose the base nutrients first, then assess which supplements are actually needed.
An Aptus feeding chart for soil, coco and hydro
The growing medium and plant stage determine how to apply a feeding programme. All-in-One Liquid suits soil, coco and hydro. Add CaMg-Boost for coco and hydro and account for the complete nutrient input.
Follow one Aptus feeding chart and check the total nutrient input. Prefertilised soil starts differently from coco or hydro; adapt the application to those starting conditions.
Using Regulator and boosters with a purpose
Add Aptus Regulator to clean water first, then continue mixing according to your programme. Regulator is not pH down. Calculate the dose from the actual water volume in your tank.
Startbooster and Topbooster differ in function and timing. Choose a supplement for a specific developmental stage and account for the nutrients already supplied by your base feed.
Choose a bottle size and check the solution
Estimate consumption from the litres of nutrient solution used per watering and the recommended product amount. Compare a small bottle with a larger size on usage across the full developmental stage.
Measure pH and EC after mixing and record water quality, product amounts and plant stage. This makes changes easier to assess and avoids several simultaneous adjustments obscuring the result.
