Aptus feeding chart: choosing, dosing and mixing

Which Aptus feeding schedule suits your medium and irrigation system? Understand base nutrients, boosters and the current programs, dosing and mixing order.

Aptus All-in-One Liquid, Regulator, Startbooster, Topbooster

Start with your growing system

An Aptus feeding chart combines products, doses and application timings. Before choosing one, record your growing medium, water source, plant stage and watering method. Prefertilized soil starts differently from coco or a recirculating hydro system. Consider how long the nutrient solution stays in the reservoir too.

A booster does not automatically replace a complete base nutrient. All-in-One Liquid provides that base role in the liquid range. Regulator, Startbooster and Topbooster are supplements with distinct purposes.

The current programs: Premium, Clean and Super Soil

Premium combines organic and mineral products. Clean takes a mineral approach suited to automated irrigation. Super Soil builds the programme around nutrients in the growing medium. Choose one approach that suits your system and keep the associated product combination consistent.

Older AH20 charts use the names Basic, Pro and Extreme. These belong to an earlier structure. Do not move an individual dose from an older table into a different program without checking it. Match the chart version to the products on your workbench.

What does each product do?

  • All-in-One Liquid: mineral base nutrients for growth and flowering. Combine with CaMg-Boost on coco and hydro.

  • Regulator: a supplement containing silicon, among other ingredients. Add it to clean water first.

  • Startbooster: an organic root and growth supplement for vegetative growth and the first flowering week, with application frequency determined by the chart.

  • Topbooster: an organic bloom supplement from the second flowering week, used alongside an NPK base nutrient.

  • N-, P-, K- and CaMg-Boost: targeted nutrient supplements used according to the chosen program.

Read water volumes carefully

Check the water volume at the top of a table. A dose of 1.5 ml per 10 litres becomes 3 ml for 20 litres; it does not mean 1.5 ml per litre. Use a suitable measuring syringe for small quantities and calculate each product separately. Adding the millilitres from different bottles does not create a general dose for any nutrient.

All-in-One Liquid uses 1 ml per litre as the standard dilution and up to 2 ml per litre under optimal conditions. Do not automatically start at the maximum dose. Account for prefertilisation, water quality and the other products in your programme.

Mix in the right order

  1. Fill the reservoir with clean water.

  2. Add Regulator first and mix thoroughly.

  3. Add the specified mineral supplements individually, mixing between products.

  4. Check EC and add base nutrients according to the program.

  5. Add the specified organic booster and mix again.

  6. Finally check pH according to the instructions for your medium.

Use clean measuring equipment and never mix concentrates directly. Store nutrient solution containing Startbooster or Topbooster for no more than two to three days. Organic material can cause biofilm in drip lines; inspect the lines and avoid preparing a long-term reserve.

Build a consistent feeding programme

Begin with suitable base nutrients and add only products with a clear purpose. All-in-One Liquid, Regulator, Startbooster, Topbooster, Super-PK, N-Boost, P-Boost, K-Boost, CaMg-Boost, Enzym+ and System-Clean perform different roles. You do not automatically need every supplement.
