Choose calibration solution by your meter’s measurement function and reference value. pH buffers calibrate a pH meter; EC solution calibrates or checks conductivity. KCl storage solution keeps a suitable pH electrode hydrated. We help you distinguish their purposes and select the right bottle or set.

Use the buffer values recognised by your pH meter. Our range includes 100 ml pH 4.01 buffer and 100 ml pH 7 buffer. A two-point calibration needs two different reference values. The required values and sequence depend on the model.
Check the exact value on the bottle label and in the calibration menu. pH 7.00 and 7.01 are different nominal values; do not assume they are interchangeable. If you are unsure, identify the correct buffer for your pH meter first.
100 ml EC 1413 calibration solution has a reference value of 1413 µS/cm, equivalent to 1.413 mS/cm at 25 °C. Use 250 ml Bluelab 2.77 EC solution with a meter that specifies this check or calibration value.
An EC meter may need user calibration, or it may be factory calibrated and require checking instead. Check the Bluelab Truncheon with 2.77 EC after cleaning; you do not calibrate it yourself. The Bluelab 3 × 250 ml set is an option when you need several solutions. Check the contents and required values before choosing.
KCl is for storage. Use 100 ml KCl storage solution in the protective cap to keep the tip of a suitable pH electrode moist. It is neither pH buffer nor EC calibration solution. Check whether your electrode requires this storage solution.
Use a clean portion. Pour a small amount of calibration solution into a clean cup, rinse the sensor as instructed and wait for a stable reading. Do not return used solution to the bottle. Close the bottle immediately after use.
Check temperature and expiry. A reference value relates to a temperature. Follow the bottle label, temperature table and meter procedure. Do not dilute the solution; replace contaminated or expired liquid. Each bottle pictured has a separate purpose and cannot simply replace another.

Tell us the brand, model and reference values in your calibration menu. We can help you choose a suitable pH buffer, EC solution or storage solution.
