Which Ferro nutrient range fits your grow?

Start with three things: your growing medium, source water and plant stage. For soil and suitable hydro systems, choose the Ferro Soil/Hydro A&B range. For coco, choose the Coco range. Growth and Bloom are separate base feeds, so match the version to the stage.

Using reverse osmosis water? Choose the corresponding Osmosis A&B range for soil/hydro or coco. Measure your water first. The description “soft water” alone does not explain its mineral composition. Do not automatically add extra calcium and magnesium to a complete osmosis feed.

Our advice: select your base feed first. Then check whether the schedule calls for a root stimulator, enzyme product or bloom supplement. A larger container does not change what the formula is designed for.

Ferro Soil/Hydro Growth, Osmosis Growth and Coco A&B nutrient ranges

Volzet, Growth or Bloom?

Ferro Volzet A&B is a starter feed for soil and hydro. Growth A&B is for vegetative growth; Bloom A&B is for flowering. In coco, choose Coco Growth or Coco Bloom. Do not switch purely by calendar: check the actual plant stage and the schedule for your range.

Base feeds and supplements

Bio Roots is a root stimulator, Enzym Plus an enzyme product and PK enriched a bloom supplement. Each has a separate role and does not automatically replace the appropriate A&B base. Cleaners and pH adjusters serve other purposes; do not treat them as extra base feed.

Mixing Ferro A&B: water first

Fill a clean reservoir with a known volume of water. Measure A, add it to the water and mix. Then add B and mix again. Never pour the concentrates directly together. Use equal amounts of A and B where the chosen feed schedule specifies this. Use clean measuring jugs and avoid returning mixed liquid to the bottles.

Check dosage with pH and EC

There is no single dose for every Ferro product. Choose the schedule for your medium, water and plant stage. Use pH and EC meters after mixing and after adjustments. EC measures total conductivity, not the amount of each individual nutrient. Read why measuring pH and EC matters.

Advice for your nutrient reservoir

All reservoir articles

Choose by consumption, not a fixed growing area

Container volume does not tell you how many square metres you can feed. Water use, plant stage and dose determine consumption. Track A and B separately so you can compare packs on the same basis and avoid buying more than you can use in time.

Keep reservoir cleaning in your routine

An accessible nutrient reservoir helps you mix, measure and clean thoroughly. Keep nutrient residues separate from cleaning products. Follow our guide to cleaning and refilling a nutrient reservoir, then check the fresh solution.
