Hanging drying net or stackable rack?

Start with your drying space. If you have a suitable hanging point and enough clear height, a hanging net spreads material across eight tiers. The 60 cm round drying net needs less width than the 80 cm round model. The 80 × 80 cm square net has a different footprint; check clearance at the corners too.

Prefer separate drying surfaces on a level base? Choose the stackable 71 × 71 cm rack and decide how many racks to use. This is a different setup from a complete hanging net with eight tiers.

Measure the actual clear width and height, allowing for the hanging point and access to the material. Do not choose from the nominal tent size alone. Spread material thinly and leave room around the net for airflow.

Choose for clearance and access

A larger drying net needs more clear space. Check that you can fill, inspect and empty every tier without pushing the net against a wall. For a square model, measure both directions. A stackable rack needs a stable, level base.

A fixed weight per net is not a useful sizing rule: material type, moisture content and spreading all affect space requirements. Choose enough tiers to spread material thinly rather than filling them with dense piles.

Monitor airflow and moisture

Mesh lets air through, but does not remove moisture from the room by itself. Keep material separated and inspect it regularly. A fan circulates air; moist air also needs a way out.

Measure temperature and humidity with a thermo-hygrometer. Avoid aiming a strong air stream directly at one tier. Read our advice on keeping humidity under control.
