Choose the diameter before planning the run
When connecting an extractor fan, filter and outlet, start with ducting that matches the connections on your system. Our Combi Connect range runs from 127 to 406 mm. All seven options are 10 metres long; the diameter is the main choice.
Write down the exact sizes at both ends. Fan power or grow tent area alone will not tell you which duct to buy. A 127 mm duct and a 125 mm connection have different stated sizes: check the fit of the actual components. For different connection sizes, choose a suitable ventilation duct reducer.
A flexible connection for moving air
Combi Connect combines an aluminium inner surface, a black PVC outer layer and a steel wire helix. The flexible construction lets you route the duct between suitable connections. Use only the length you need and avoid sharp bends and compressed sections.
A larger duct alone does not guarantee a higher airflow. The fan, filter, diameter, length and bends all affect the complete run. Support the duct so its weight and tension do not pull on the joints. Compare other options in our grow tent ventilation ducting range.
How to fit Combi Connect ducting
Measure the connection spigot and check the stated duct size before ordering. Slide the duct straight over a suitable fitting and position the clamp where the spigot supports the duct.
- Check both ends: record the connection sizes and the space available for fitting.
- Size the clamp around the fitted duct: measure the outside once the duct is on the connection. See our adjustable duct clamps.
- Secure and seal: tighten without deforming the duct, then seal leak paths with suitable material.
- Inspect the run: avoid kinks, support the duct and check the joints after fitting.
