Both options have the same stated pot dimensions. Choose by the number of plants you want to raise and compare the current pack price. An individual pot is one piece; the box contains 1200. Fill each pot with a growing medium suited to your seedling or cutting.
A peat pot is an empty growing container made from peat and wood pulp. You choose the growing medium for your seeds or cuttings. Our range includes square Jiffy pots measuring 8 × 8 × 8 cm, sold individually or in a box of 1200.
When the young plant is ready, transplant the pot into the ground or a larger container. You do not need to remove the root ball from the peat pot. Keep the walls and growing medium moist, and cover the entire pot when planting.

Fill the pot with a suitable seed or cutting growing medium. Place it in a tray and moisten both the medium and pot walls before sowing or inserting a cutting. Follow the guidance for your plant on sowing depth and germination conditions.
Check moisture regularly. Avoid letting the pot dry out completely or stand in excess water for long periods. An 8 cm pot does not require one fixed water dose: the plant, growing medium and conditions determine its needs.
Check root development and whether the plant is ready for its next growing position. Moisten the pot before transplanting. Place it with the root ball in the ground or a larger container, cover the whole pot wall with soil and water as needed.
You fill a peat pot yourself; a propagation plug already contains growing medium. Browse propagation plugs for young plants if that suits your method better. Using drip irrigation? Measure the flow and check moisture distribution rather than using one timer setting for every pot.
