Need a side connection while the main ventilation duct continues straight ahead? A T-piece adds a third connection. Sketch the route between your grow tent, filter and extractor first. Decide where the air comes from and where it needs to go; the fitting itself does not set the airflow direction.
Allow space for the T-piece, duct connections and access to the clamps. A fitting that matches the duct is of little use if the hose immediately kinks behind it. Support the branch so the weight of the ducting does not pull on the connection edges.
A T-piece suits a straight run with a side branch. If both branches need to run at an angle, look at our metal duct Y-pieces and compare the space available. To change the direction of a single duct without adding a branch, choose a metal duct elbow.
A branch does not automatically divide the airflow equally. Duct length, bends and filters affect resistance. Check the airflow in both branches after assembly. Our guide to choosing a duct tee or Y-piece explains what to consider.
Our range contains Spiro T-pieces with nominal sizes of 127, 160, 200, 250, 315, 355 and 406 mm. Use the diameter filter to find the size for your duct run. Start with the connection sizes on your ducting and equipment; check the complete connection before choosing a larger fitting.
Check all three connections: diameter, inside and outside dimensions, and which parts fit over or inside each other. Do not treat 125 and 127 mm as the same size. A nominal diameter alone does not confirm that a particular hose or fitting will connect.
Different duct sizes may need a duct reducer. Use suitable duct connectors where required between components. Select duct clamps for the outside diameter of the assembled joint and seal the connection carefully. Our duct diameter and fit guide helps you check each connection.

Send us the three connection sizes and a sketch of your duct run. We can help you choose a suitable T-piece and the fittings you need.

Match flanges, connectors and reducers by function and fit. Check both ends and avoid assuming that 125 mm and 127 mm are interchangeable.

Compare right-angle and angled branches. Choose a tee or Y-piece by the duct route, and understand why two outlets do not guarantee equal airflow.
