A carbon filter helps reduce odours in extracted air. The filter treats the air passing through it; the extractor moves that air. Choose them as a system. A circulation fan inside the tent does not replace extraction.
Start with the type and required airflow of your inline fan or box fan, then check which filter suits that airflow. The filter and ductwork add resistance, so assess the fan with the connected system in mind. Its maximum free-air rating alone is not enough to choose a filter.
Record the connection sizes of the filter, extractor and ventilation ducting. Check both the diameter and how the parts slide over or into each other. Keep the route straightforward and avoid sharp bends or compressed ducting.
Support the filter and extractor separately. Use a suitable duct clamp and appropriate sealing material for the joint. A clamp cannot correct a mismatched connection. Our guide to fitting clamps and seals explains how to finish the joint carefully.
This range has two models: Heavy carbo HK50 and Heavy carbo HK100. Use the model name to identify the version you need. Do not infer airflow capacity or connection size from the number in the name.
Send us the fan model, connection size and a photo or sketch of the layout. We can help you confirm a suitable filter and any ventilation flanges before ordering. Browse all our grow tent carbon filters to consider other options.

Tell us your fan model, connection size and available space. We can help you match the filter to your extraction system.

Match flanges, connectors and reducers by function and fit. Check both ends and avoid assuming that 125 mm and 127 mm are interchangeable.

Compare right-angle and angled branches. Choose a tee or Y-piece by the duct route, and understand why two outlets do not guarantee equal airflow.
