A filter at the extraction intake

Position a standard Wilco carbon filter at the intake of your extraction setup. Match its stated airflow capacity to your extractor and allow room for the filter, suspension and duct bend. Standard versions have 125, 160, 200 or 250 mm flanges.

The thick-wall versions here have a 250 mm flange and stated capacities of 1000, 1500 or 2000 m³/h. Choose by the exact model and installation requirements, rather than the thick-wall label alone.

A filter within the duct run

Wilco Inline fits within the air duct run. Choose 500 m³/h with a 125 mm flange, or 1000 and 1500 m³/h with a 200 mm flange. Check both connections, the specified airflow direction and space to support the filter.

An inline filter has a different construction. Matching airflow ratings do not make it interchangeable with a standard filter. Decide where you will install it first, then compare suitable models.

Match the filter, extractor and ducting

1. Start with operating airflow. Choose a filter rated for the air your extractor moves through the complete system. Ducting, bends and the filter affect airflow, so an extractor rating on its own does not describe your installed setup.

2. Check the flange separately. A 1000 m³/h filter is available with a 160 mm flange, while a thick-wall version has a 250 mm flange. Airflow capacity does not determine connection size. Check that the ducting, connector and clamp also fit.

3. Measure the installation space. Allow room for suspension, duct connections and maintenance. Use mounting suitable for the filter weight and support the duct run. Check the instructions for your model before installation.

4. Maintain the prefilter. The white fabric catches dust before it reaches the carbon bed. Inspect it for dirt and replace it with a suitable size. The separate 100 cm fabric does not replace the activated carbon; check the required circumference and fastening too.
