SF or SE: match the fixture shape to your space

For a shallow propagation area, consider the slim 33 W SF-300 and 74 W SF-600. For a compact growing area, compare the 100 W SF-1000 panel with the 200 W SF-2000 and SF-2000PRO. The SF-4000 offers 450 W in a panel design.

The SE-3000, SE-5000, SE-7000 and SE-1000W spread their LEDs across several bars. Compare these fixtures by hanging clearance and distribution across the whole crop. More power helps when fixture size, distance and plant needs are properly matched.

Spider Farmer SF-4000 LED panel and SE-5000 LED bar fixture

Model numbers do not tell you power consumption

The SF-1000 is rated at 100 W; the SF-2000 and SF-2000PRO at 200 W. The number in the model name is therefore not a reliable consumption figure. Calculate electricity costs using actual input power for the complete light at your chosen setting.

The SE comparison uses 300, 480, 730 and 1000 W. Divide watts by 1000 and multiply by operating hours to calculate kWh. These are calculations, not our own measurements. Dimming can change consumption; a dimmer percentage does not necessarily equal the same percentage of input power.

Light distribution and the exact version matter

Measure width, depth and available height before choosing a fixture. Allow room for hanging hardware and cables while making sure light reaches the crop edges. Assess PPFD at several points at your intended height and setting.

When expanding a setup, check the exact model and version. A model name can cover several generations. Do not assume LED type, driver, app control or controller compatibility from another version. Our hanging height and dimming guide helps you refine the setup.
