Start with the width and depth of your growing area and the headroom above your plants. The Skwid 1560 PRO 520W and Skwid 1900 PRO 680W are wide bar fixtures. The Skwid ECO 680W has a folding bar frame. The Balaena 680W has an elongated layout. Check which shape suits your mounting arrangement and plant layout.
Then choose power and control. Three models share a 680W rating, with different layouts. Equal wattage does not establish a fixed growing footprint. Assess light at plant level and check the exact version before choosing a controller.

The kWh figures are calculation examples: power in watts ÷ 1000 × 12 hours. Actual use depends on input power and dimming. This table does not compare light output or growing footprints.
PPF describes a fixture’s total photon output; PPFD describes light on an area. Assess the centre, edges and corners of your growing area. Match hanging height and dimming to plant species and growth stage.
Allow clearance for suspension, cables and airflow too. The light needs to be practical to install and leave access to your plants. We can advise with your space dimensions and exact model to hand.
Manual dimming and central control have different requirements. Check the fixture model, driver, control signal and cable together. A plug that fits or a shared brand name does not establish compatibility.
Replacing existing lighting? Recheck mounting, control and electrical load. Calculate energy use from actual input power and operating hours; add ventilation and other equipment separately.
