Start with the lighting task. For overhead lighting, choose between three 720W models and the King 1000W PRO. Under Canopy 150W provides supplementary light for lower parts of the crop.

Measure the available width, depth and height before selecting a fixture. Check light levels at the planned hanging height in the centre, at the edges and in the corners. PPF describes total photon output; PPFD shows how much light reaches a particular part of the crop. A model name or wattage does not establish a fixed growing area.
The 720W and 1000W overhead fixtures offer adjustable power and an RJ14 control connection. Check the exact model, control signal and cable pinout before choosing a controller. Under Canopy 150W uses 0–10V control and has its own cabling arrangement. A connector that fits is not proof of compatibility.
Calculate consumption using actual input power: watts ÷ 1000 × operating hours. Include supplementary lighting and ventilation separately. Dimming can change consumption; a dimming percentage is not a measurement at the socket.
