Which Plagron nutrients suit your growing medium?

Start with the root zone. In soil, use Terra Grow during vegetative growth and Terra Bloom during flowering. Account for any nutrients already in your potting mix before you begin feeding.

For buffered coco coir, choose Cocos A&B. Use both components together through growth and flowering. For inert media such as clay pebbles or rockwool, Hydro A&B provides the appropriate base feed.

We recommend getting your base nutrients and watering routine right first. Then select additives that have a clear purpose in your feeding programme.

Turn the label dose into your feeding programme

The maximum Terra dose is an upper limit rather than a starting dose. Adjust feeding to plant stage, existing fertiliser in the medium, water quality and other products in the solution. Use the chart for your chosen line and check the current packaging.

Use a clean measuring jug, stir after each addition and check the solution with a pH and EC meter. Read why measuring pH and EC matters for more guidance.

Support roots and your growing medium

Power Roots is a root stimulator; Pure Zym is an enzyme product for the growing medium. Their role differs from base nutrients. Choose an additive for its purpose and timing in your programme, rather than adding another bottle by default.

Choose a bloom booster with a purpose

Green Sensation, PK 13/14 and Sugar Royal are different additives. A booster does not replace a complete base feed. Account for every product in the solution and avoid automatically combining several phosphorus and potassium supplements in one watering.

Check your water before adding CalMag

CalMag Pro supplements calcium and magnesium in soft or reverse osmosis water. Check your source water and what your base feed already supplies. A low starting EC is a reason to investigate water composition; it is not a complete water analysis.

Buy a size you will use

Terra Grow, Terra Bloom, Cocos A&B and Hydro A&B are available in 1 L and 5 L sizes. Power Roots and Green Sensation also have a 500 ml option. Compare the same formula across sizes and calculate from your actual water use. Bottle capacity alone cannot tell you how many plants it will feed.
