G1 or G2? Start with your available space
Choose G1 when a rectangular 180 × 110 cm tent suits your room. Choose G2 when you can accommodate 220 × 180 cm and still reach the tent comfortably. Measure the floor space, access route, doorways and room for connections.
Both footprints are available in 215 cm or 240 cm height. HC adds 25 cm without changing the footprint. The extra height helps you arrange equipment, while usable space between plants and light also depends on pots, hangers and the fixture.
The series was developed around one Gavita light for G1 and two for G2, paired with the Gavita Pro M110 DE SR reflector. For a different fixture, always check dimensions, light distribution and required clearance. The model name alone does not establish a suitable combination.

215 or 240 cm: check the space above the tent
Measure the clear height where the tent will stand. Allow room for assembly and for routing ventilation and power connections. A ceiling exactly 240 cm high does not automatically accommodate a 240 cm tent.
Plan from the bottom up: pot or growing tray, expected plant height, required lamp clearance and suspension. HC gives you more vertical room; it does not guarantee that every light or filter will fit.
Plan lighting and ventilation together
Choose LED grow lights or complete HPS fixtures by tent shape and light distribution. With HPS, also consider heat and clearance from plants and tent fabric. Tent dimensions do not promise a fixed yield or dictate one lamp wattage.
Match your duct fan, carbon filter and duct run as a system. Plan the intake and exhaust positions and keep equipment accessible. Our guide to placing fans in a grow tent explains the next steps.
