Choose PE pipe around the required flow and the connections in your system. Add up the output of the drippers or sprinklers that will run at the same time. Then consider pipe length, available pressure and changes in height. Plant count alone is not enough to choose a pipe diameter.
Extending an existing system? Check the pipe size and connections first. Our 16 mm pipe is HDPE; the two 25 mm options are ZPE. For a new system, choose the diameter as part of the complete water route, from the pump to the outlets. Check the pressure rating of both pipe and fittings.

For a short extension or a measured run, choose pipe sold by the metre. Both the 16 mm HDPE pipe and 25 mm ZPE pipe are available this way. Measure the actual route, including bends and the space needed for connections.
The 25 mm coil contains 100 metres of pipe and suits a longer route or several pipe sections. A photograph of coiled pipe does not identify the sales unit: always check whether you are buying by the metre or by the coil.
Match each fitting to the exact pipe diameter and connection system. A straight coupling joins two sections; a tee creates a branch. When connecting a pump, filter or valve with a thread, also check the thread size and whether it is male or female. A 25 mm pipe connection is different from a ¾-inch thread.
Prepare a clean, square pipe end and follow the fitting’s assembly method. Avoid sharp kinks, flush dirt from the pipe and check connections at the intended operating pressure. Use the pipe to supply water; drippers and sprinklers control the output at your plants.

Calculate a starting run time and measure each outlet. Practical examples for CNL valves, four-way distributors and capillary tubing.
