Identify the pest before choosing a product

Are insects flying around your plants, or do you see damage and pests on the leaves? Check where the problem occurs before choosing a treatment. A yellow sticky trap helps monitor flying insects; an empty trap does not rule out pests on the plant.

Distinguish monitoring, targeted plant treatment and room treatment. They serve different purposes. Note the plant species, growth stage and location, then check that the product label covers your intended use.

Use plant protection products safely. Read the label and product information before use. Need help identifying the problem? Send us clear photos of the plant, the damage and the pests you find.

Yellow BUG-SCAN sticky trap and ECOstyle Promanal-R concentrate: two different pest control formats

Yellow sticky traps: catch and monitor

Our yellow sticky traps in packs of 10 catch flying insects on an adhesive surface. Use them to track what flies around your plants and whether catches change. Check leaves and growing media too: traps do not treat larvae in the substrate or provide targeted control of spider mites on leaves.

Read our guide to using and checking yellow sticky traps to make sense of your catches.

Concentrates: targeted application

ECOstyle Promanal-R concentrate 50 ml is a contact treatment for ornamental plants against spider mites, scale insects and mealybugs. This is a concentrate: mix and use it only as directed by the label. Do not transfer a dilution rate from another product.

ADYKILL is a different formulation for spray application. Choose by the permitted use and the pest, as well as the product name. Explore pressure sprayers and misters if the label calls for spraying, and check that the equipment is suitable for the product.

ADYBAC 1001: a separate room treatment

ADYBAC 1001 100 ml and ADYBAC 1001 250 ml are aerosols for room treatment. This differs from hanging a sticky trap or spraying a plant directly.

Compare the stated contents, then check the label requirements: permitted room, volume to be treated, presence of plants, preparation and re-entry. A 100 or 250 ml can does not define a fixed floor area. Use a fogger only when your situation meets all the conditions of use.
