Tumble Trimmer maintenance: check cutting wires and blades
Replacing a cutting part starts with the correct machine version. Check the drive, mounting points and wear, then clean your Tumble Trimmer carefully before using it again.

Stop the drive first
The machine must be completely stationary before you access a cutting part. Unplug the electric version. With the manual version, make sure nobody can move the drive while you work. Follow the disassembly steps for your own machine and handle cutting parts carefully.
Compare the existing part with your selection
A shared brand name does not mean a part fits every version. Note the model and inspect the shape, mounting points and installed position. Take a photograph before disassembly so you can check the original position later. Only order once you know which cutting part your machine uses.
Our trimming machine range includes complete machines and separate parts. Tumble Trimmer cutting wires come in sets of 20. Flat blades come in sets of 5. Pack quantities do not tell you how many parts should be installed at once. Do not replace a wire with a blade without checking the exact configuration.
Inspect wear and remaining material
Check for bent, damaged or loose cutting parts. Remove remaining plant material from accessible areas without drawing your hands across cutting edges. An unexpected result may relate to residue, the cutting part, assembly or material condition. Check those factors individually before increasing processing time.
Do not bend or sharpen an unfamiliar cutting part to make it fit. If anything is unclear, contact us with the machine version and photographs of the part and its mounting points.
Clean according to your machine version
Follow the cleaning instructions for your own machine. Check which parts are removable and which cleaning products are suitable. Do not immerse the complete electric machine or let water reach electrical parts. Reassemble only once cleaned parts are dry.
Check assembly before the next batch
Check that parts are secure and that guards and the lid are back in place. Then start with a small trial batch. Stop if you hear an unusual noise or notice unexpected behaviour, and inspect the assembly again with the drive off.
Keep harvest scissors nearby for precise finishing. Keep batches organised during processing and storage; explore our drying nets and packaging and storage supplies. Your choice of wet or dry processing must match the instructions for your exact trimmer.
