Choosing gloves for plant care: PU-flex or nitrile?

Choosing gloves starts with the task. Compare PU-flex, Grippaz nitrile and boxed nitrile gloves by material, size and packaging, then check the protection your work requires.

PU-flex, Grippaz and blue nitrile gloves

1. Describe the work first

Will you move pots, fasten netting or inspect plants? Note what you will touch and how precisely you need to work. One glove does not necessarily suit every task. When handling a product, choose protection according to that product and its instructions.

Use material names as a starting point, rather than proof of universal protection. A glove category contains different versions and sizes. Begin with the actual task so that you compare features with a purpose.

2. Distinguish material from product range

The assortment includes PU-flex gloves, Grippaz nitrile gloves and nitrile gloves sold by the box. PU-flex and nitrile are different material descriptions. Grippaz is also a product range, not another material alongside nitrile.

Check the exact item and version. Do not assume all nitrile models have the same thickness, usable life or protection. The product name alone does not establish those details. If you need information that is missing, ask for the specifications of that model.

3. Check fit while moving

Choose a size that fits without squeezing. Check that your fingers can bend and that there is not too much loose space at the fingertips for detailed work. Use the sizing information for the model; the same size letter can fit differently across versions.

The range includes PU-flex sizes S to XL and Grippaz sizes S to XXL. Select the required size deliberately. A photograph can be shared across several sizes and does not confirm the size you are ordering.

4. Compare the selling unit

A box is a different purchase from a pair or a pack of several gloves. The boxed nitrile versions state 100 per box. Check how many gloves the exact item supplies and calculate your stock from actual use.

Keep new stock clean and separate from used gloves. Inspect before use and replace material that is no longer intact. A low pack price means little without knowing the number of gloves supplied.

5. Connect the choice to your care routine

Record the selected size and model if several people tend the space. Check stock alongside other consumables. For contact with substances, choose the exact model according to the required protection; nitrile is not a general suitability declaration.
