Choosing grow room sheeting: black and white or Anti?

Choose by available dimensions, the surfaces you want to line and fitting requirements. Compare real rolls without assuming unverified performance.

Start with the surface you want to line

Measure height and width and note corners, doors and openings. Decide where fixing is possible and what must remain accessible. A product name alone does not tell you whether a roll size fits in practice. Start with our sheeting and tape range.

Compare the available roll sizes

Black and white sheeting comes in 2 × 25 metres. Anti-detection sheeting is 120 cm wide with 30 or 60 metre rolls. Gross material areas are 50 m², 36 m² and 72 m² respectively. These figures count material rather than guaranteed grow room coverage.

A surface 1.80 metres wide can fit within a 2 metre strip before you assess fixing allowances. With 1.20 metre strips, several pieces are needed. Compare strip layouts first, then total roll length.

Separate established properties from assumptions

Black and white sheeting has a black and a white side. That does not establish a particular reflection percentage. The Anti roll dimensions are known; the name does not establish a detection guarantee, insulation value or other measured performance. A longer roll is not automatically thicker or stronger.

If your application needs a specific thickness, temperature limit or reflectance, you need those details for the exact product. Ask us about your intended use before making those properties a design assumption.

Check fitting requirements before ordering

Check rough surfaces, sharp edges and fixing points. Plan seams and openings. Tape needs to suit both the sheeting and the surface. Our fitting checklist makes those checks concrete.

Choose using a cutting plan

List the length of every strip, add them together and include your chosen overlaps and cutting allowance. A smaller roll may fit your plan; a larger roll provides more material for several surfaces. Our quantity guide includes a worked example.
