Description
The 'e' in the Gavita e-series stands for external control. These luminaires can be centrally controlled by an optionally available Gavita Master controller. This replaces the often cumbersome installation with switches and timers and adds various safety features such as automatic dimming of the lamps at (too) high temperatures and even a safety switch-off.
The luminaire consists of a ballast, reflector and lamp in one complete compact package. Made to horticultural standards, the ballast housing is sealed and includes a gore-tex® plug to ventilate the housing while keeping out dust and moisture.
The output of the ballast is controlled by a Gavita Master controller or an external switch, allowing it to be adjusted to 600, 750, 825, 1000W and 1150W amplified output. The main controller can centrally control the output of hundreds of luminaires in a range between 500 and 1150W output power. Using the Master controller protects your valuable crop with the added auto-dimming and auto-off functions, and fully automates your lighting control.
The compact complete fixture contains a lamp, HR96 reflector and horticultural quality ballast in one total package. The increased power and added efficiency of the industry standard HR96 reflector make it the workhorse of the family. The reflector is replaceable (we recommend every year up to two years) and there is a choice of replacement reflectors:
- The HR96 DE for overlapping configurations, for optimal uniformity and penetration. This is the industry standard reflector that comes with the fixture.
- The W 150 DE for wide configurations, where uniformity and lower light levels are required in large spaces. 150 degree beam angle, for double-sided lamps.
- The M 110 DE SR for applications in single rows and small spaces, where a single reflector needs to create uniformity and high light levels. Beam angle 110 degrees, for lamps with two ends
The light spread of the Gavita Pro 1000 equipped with the HR96 DE reflector is approximately 4 × 6 ft (110x180 cm) at 3 ft spacing in overlapping plans, providing light levels of up to 1000 µmol s-1 m-2. The reflector is replaceable (we recommend every year up to two years).
The luminaire's light source is a Gavita Pro Plus 1000W double-sided HPS lamp, generating 2100 µmol s-1 light. With a light maintenance of more than 96% per 5000 hours, you only have to replace it once a year.
Mounting is easy because the luminaire is balanced and only needs two suspension points. We have handy brackets available for c-profile installations.
